Hi guys so basically I'm asking on what to do with 1.5k SGD as a budget. I've asked Peter about this but he gave me from pcpartpickers (cant access it idk why) which is by USA pricing.

He gave me this for 1k USD (around 1.5k SGD)

Specs:

i5-6600k 3.5Ghz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Mobo: Asus Z170-A
RAM: Avexir Core series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400
Storage: SSD: Samsung 960 Evo 250G
HDD: Toshiba 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 1060 6GB GT OCV1

I've done more research and found out a site with singapore pricing. http://www.fuwell.com.sg/uploads/misc/Fuwell180217.pdf

I tried to get it as close to Peter, but heres what I got

Specs:
i5-6600k 3.5Ghz
Mobo: Asus Z170-A (combined with CPU is 568)
CPU Cooler: ???
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz CL14 (2 x 8GB) (189)
Storage: SSD: Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVME 250 GB (179)
HDD: WD Red Pro 7200rpm 2TB (5Yr) (208)
GPU: MSI GTX1060 6GB Afterburner Dual Fan (OCV1) (399)

So I got to SGD 1547 with the specs.
This looks pretty neat and I may consider buying but I'm still not sure what the CPU cooler should be.
I took WD Red Pro 7200rpm 2TB because it has 5 year warranty, while the rest I just tried to copy Peter's build as closely as possible.
I also saw that i5-7700k 3.8 Ghz is just $5-10 more expensive than i5-6600k 3.5 Ghz. I would gladly upgrade it if its actually better.
My budget is at 1.6k SGD for now. I dont need any mouse/keyboard/other stuff, so keep that in mind.

grab the new i5 then.
DO GRAB A CPU COOLER. The stock cooler isn't good enough. And ignore Axl. Watercooling itself is about ~60-100 dollars extra. Regarding HDD, I would definitely get a cheaper one and a CPU cooler for the savings.

So first off, I dropped the 6600k and pushed for a 7600k. Not much a difference in price, not much a difference in power, and the .3GHz jump in base and max is worth the $10 jump. (You could look into getting the non-k version of the 6600 if you don't want to overclock and save some money.)

Peter was on the ball with the CPU Cooler/MOBO.

I've never heard of Avexir before, but Corsair's Vengeance is a good alternative.

I dropped the 960 EVO and went for a 850. Being able to restart in 25-35 second range is already a huge improvement from just a HDD and there's not much need to spend another $75 on a little more of an improvement to that.

Dropped your $200 HDD for a basic Seagate 7200RPM. There's no need for warranty, your HDD isn't going to crap out. If it does, it'll be within 3~ weeks of installing and you'll be covered.

This one is a bit of a jump. I dropped your 1060 for a 1070 (The card I have now). It's been going on sale a lot recently with some USD pricing in other currency errors (got mine for $130~ off regular price) and it's worth the jump from a 1060. Just a little bit of future proofing.

Case is just a normal S340. There's a black/red, and black version if you want to grab those instead. They're good cheap cases.

EVGA 600B PSU should be able to handle everything with ease.

If it being at around $1650~ in your currency is a bit of an issue, you can drop the 1070 for a 480, 1060, or a fury. (Ranked best to worst 1070-fury-480-1060), but if you slowly buy your parts when they go on sale, you shouldn't have an issue.

Back when I made that spec list, the 7600K wasn't available yet.
With regards to RAM, drop it to the lowest possible budget. Cheap RAM at same gHz is usually the best.
I totally agree with the SSD, I had to make it all fit in $1000 USD. That's difficult.

Are u sure that you are going to survive on 250gb of storage?
If you're not sure, get a HDD to storage the programs that are not used often or does not require fast file reading.

Or get some USB's.
