i wanna ask i have sony xperia z 1 if i rooted it can i still have the original update from sony it self?

maybe update walkman gallery or even Better OS ?

rooting your phone is basically voiding your warranty.. if you know exactly what to do, then go for it, make sure to research though.

I had a iPhone 4 like 4 years ago and I jailbroke it to the iPhone 4s version by accident, I had to sync it to iTunes to fix it, I think if you root android, you must have a backup or you're fucked.

Wait a second, if you mean that will you get new OS updates from android, that's false...
Once you root your phone you don't get updates. I have rooted my s3 for a long time and when 4.3.3 Jelly Bean came out that time i didn't get the update, I had to install it manually by downloading the original firmware.
